Michael Scotto, Partner

Michael Scotto is a Partner at Pacific Grove Capital, where he primarily focuses on investments in consumer, retail and real estate. Michael was previously an Analyst at Scout Capital from 2012 until the closure of the fund in 2014. He covered the consumer and retail sectors as a member of Jamie Mendola’s research team, working closely with Jamie on a day-to-day basis. Prior to Scout, Michael worked from 2008-2012 as a generalist Analyst at Chesapeake Partners, a value-focused, event-driven hedge fund in Baltimore, Maryland. He previously worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs from 2007-2008, and at Merrill Lynch from 2006-2007. Michael graduated from Stanford University in 2006 with a B.A. in International Relations, a secondary major in Economics, and a minor in Italian Language. He earned the CFA designation in 2012.
